How to install XML Xdoc

Information, and screen shots, are shown for Windows XP.
The process is similar for other versions of Windows, OS X and UNIX/Linux.

Note that after each command you need to press the 'Enter' key.

Step 1. Open a Command Prompt.
Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories and Command Prompt.

Note. In earlier versions of Windows click on Start, Programs, and "MS-DOS Prompt".

Step 2. Create a folder c:ml and make it the current directory by typing these commands:
md c:ml
cd c:ml

Step 3. Download Xdoc (assumes an internet connection)
From the page "Download demo". Right click on the link "Download XML Xdoc for Windows"
Select "Save target As", making sure you save the file into c:ml

Step 4. Confirm download is successful
Display version information for Xdoc by typing:
Xdoc

Step 5. Use Xdoc (assumes an internet connection)
We're going to convert yahoo4.csv to XML and automatically open the created XML file.
Use Xdoc by typing these commands:
Xdoc -url=http://www.trah.com/xml/data/yahoo4.csv -output=yahoo4.xml -run=yes

Now the XML file has been created it could be used for a variety of purposes.
